The game of golf has tonnes of great benefits that we want to shout about:

IT’S HEALTHY. You can complete 10,000 steps while doing a round and stay physically active.

IT’S SOCIABLE. You can keep active while enjoying a conversation, before, during and after the round.

IT IMPROVES MENTAL WELLBEING. Regular exercise improves your mood and decreases anxiety.

Despite these benefits, women make up just 14% of the UK population compared to more than 30% in some European countries. We want to change that.

This year’s National Golf Month is all about growing female participation. Whether you want to play with your children, your partners or your friends, it’s an excellent activity anyone can enjoy.

Opportunities to get involved up and down the country have been posted on to help #GirlsGetGolfing.

The campaign is coordinated by the British Golf Industry Association and its members.

fibodo, the app that empowers people to find, book and do sport and other activities in their local area by connecting them with activity providers or hosts, is providing the technological backbone for the campaign. They will enable pros, clubs and centres to upload tasters sessions to the National Golf Month website and ensure participants can search for these activities in their local area.

Bauer Media have renewed their sponsorship of National Golf Month which will provide the campaign with radio and print exposure across several of their titles including Top Santé and Yours, two of their major publications, both of which have substantial female readerships.
